Get started with a beta reading platform for free

Getting feedback on your draft should be exciting, not complicated or expensive. Whether you are finishing your very first manuscript or polishing your fifth novel, you need a smooth, secure way to share your story with readers.

Seamless beta reader experience

Good Better Beta makes reading unreleased drafts effortless and enjoyable for your volunteers:

• Beautiful web e-reader: Beta readers open your manuscript directly in their browser on any laptop, tablet, or phone. There is no software to download.
• Instant inline feedback: Readers can highlight text as they read and leave quick reactions with a single tap.
• This is fun (not homework): Readers can share real-time reactions or drop optional notes without being forced to fill out long, tedious post-chapter questionnaires. Beta readers stay immersed in the story.

Control for authors

Managing your manuscript and processing critiques has never been cleaner:

• Distribution control: You stay in charge of your intellectual property by sharing secure access links. You can track who is reading and grant or revoke access whenever you choose.
• Centralized dashboard: Every reaction and inline note is organized neatly in one spot, making it simple to spot pacing trends, plot holes, and plan revisions.
• Tracking: See where all your beta readers are in the story.
